1. Who we are

The Partick Thistle Youth Academy app is published on Google Play and the Apple App Store by Big S Design Scotland Ltd on behalf of Partick Thistle F.C. Big S Design Scotland Ltd develops and operates the app; Partick Thistle F.C. is responsible (as data controller) for the member data managed through it. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, shared and protected when you use the app and related services. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

When you register with Partick Thistle and use the app, we may collect:

• Name and contact information (email address, phone number)
• Date of birth
• Address and postcode
• Emergency contact details
• Medical information and health conditions, where relevant to participation
• Playing position and football experience
• Photographs and video footage
• Performance, training, wellbeing and nutrition data you enter
• Messages you post in team feed and chat

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Device information (device model, operating system)
• App usage and diagnostics (e.g. when the app is opened, crash data)
• Push-notification tokens, so we can send you relevant notifications

3. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account
• To organise training sessions, fixtures and attendance
• To communicate schedules, events and club activities
• To track player development, wellbeing and performance
• To process payments and manage subscriptions where applicable
• To keep participants safe and support their welfare
• To understand app engagement so coaches and administrators can help members who need it
• To comply with legal obligations and to improve the app

4. How your information is shared

• With coaches and club staff — to run training and support player development
• With parents/guardians — for players under 18
• With governing bodies — where required for registration (e.g. the SFA)
• With medical professionals — in the event of injury or a medical emergency
• With service providers — such as Google Firebase (authentication, messaging and data storage) and Stripe (payments), who process data on our behalf under contract
• Where required by law — to comply with legal obligations or protect rights and safety

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data retention

We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. When you leave Partick Thistle, we retain data for a reasonable period to meet legal obligations and resolve disputes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to processing
• Request portability of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

8. Children's privacy

Partick Thistle works with players under the age of 18. Where a member is under 18, we collect and process their information with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians may review, correct or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting us. We take additional care to protect the privacy of young players.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Please review it periodically.
